Since 2021 have been Dobbie proud supporters of not-for-profit support organisation Our Veterans Forge. OVF is a veteran driven initiative enabling veterans to assist other returning service personnel in their transition back to civilian life.
The service utilises traditional blacksmithing skills at the forge as a means of engagement with veterans struggling with PTSD and other military service associated medical issues.
Dobbie have been producing superior anvils for many years and are pleased to be a donor of these fine examples of our workmanship to this worthy enterprise.
Dobbie actively offers employment opportunities to veterans though its association with veterans employment service, Working Spirit.
Working Spirit’s goal is to raise awareness of veteran employability by highlighting the technical skill sets and other intagibles (reliability, resourcefulness, respect) that veterans can bring to an employer. They aim to ‘capture the talent’ that comes from veterans’ miltary service.
